Markiyan Novak joined United Consultants in 2010 as a Consultant. He became Partner on October 1, 2015 and he is responsible for business development in the CIS and CEE markets. In addition, he executes Executive Search and Board Services projects in the CEE and CIS markets, provides HR Consulting, and executes coaching and assessment projects for clients’ management teams. Markiyan brings over 10 years of experience in the Executive Search industry. He has covered a broad spectrum of assignments in the CIS and CEE region with a particular focus on Financial Institutions, Industry and Manufacturing, Consumer, Agriculture and Business suppliers and equipment sectors. He has solid international experience in project execution allowing him to execute searches in any of the CIS and CEE countries, with a particular focus on: the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Poland, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. Markiyan has strong professional skills that have resulted in successful search projects for the following functions: management, production, banking, finance, and HR.
Prior to joining United Consultants, Markiyan gained extensive expertise in the executive search and built a comprehensive network within his industry and functional specialization. He worked for another international executive search group and used to be an HR Business Partner at one of the top international banks, which gave him a proven track record in candidate sourcing, development and retention as well as a solid understanding of the specifics of those financial institutions.
Markiyan obtained a Master’s Degree in Sociology at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and received a Thomas PPA certificate. Additionally, he is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt professional.
He is fluent in English, Ukrainian and Russian.
